"Tactile" September Exhibition of New Paintings @ Third Place Coffee House in Raleigh

 

The paintings in “Tactile” begin as explorations of the grid and color.   At intuited moments in the paintings’ creation, representational imagery enters the grid/color equation and the viewer’s attention is focused on the narrative uncovered by the artist.

Oil on canvas, these paintings are presented in an un-stretched/ “tapestry” format.    A logistical solution to transporting the large images, they were removed from their wood frames (stretcher bars) but can be re-stretched and hung in a traditional manner.
